Description
The DPV-56M antenna consists of two vertically polarized, omnidirectional, dipoles fed in phase, covering the frequency range 512 to 650 MHz. These dipoles are housed in a single radome that provides both mechanical stability and environmental protection. The antenna is designed for mobile ground communications and use in an extreme environment. It is provided with a coaxial mounting arrangement to enclose the electrical connections away from the environment. The base is mounted to the array by a spring to protect the antenna from shock and overhead obstructions that are encountered by the vehicle. An integral bandpass filter is housed inside the base assembly.
