GSA-badge The DPV-39A consists of two vertically polarized omnidirectional dipole antennas. The upper dipole operates over the frequency range of 100 to 156 MHz and the lower dipole operates over the range of 225 to 400 MHz. Each dipole operates independently and has a separate input connector. The antennas are normally used on line-of-sight propagation paths such as ground-to-air and point-to-point communications circuits. The antenna is sealed in a fiberglass radome that provides mechanical stability and environmental protection of the electrical components. It is provided with a coaxial mounting arrangement for mounting atop a 2 1/2″ IPS pipe, enclosing the electrical connections away from the environment.
