Applications:
The MPV-3088 is a lightweight, militarized, vertically polarized, omnidirectional VHF manpack antenna specifically designed for use in a manpack tactical application. The antenna has an instantaneous bandwidth of 30 to 88 Mhz making it compatible with VHF and frequency hopping radios. When elevated to 30 feet, it is well suited for either ground-to-air or point-to-point communications. Features: The antenna features a lightweight yet rugged configuration that stores in less than 0.4 cubic feet of space, is rapidly deployable and retrievable utilizing all captive hardware. The manpack antenna is stowed in a carrying bag which can easily be hand or shoulder carried. The upper radiating portion is made of vinyl covered wire and supported by an integral telescopic fiberglass mast. The RF input connector is located at the base of the matching unit. The radials attached to the matching unit are supported in a deployed position by the three top mast guys. The antenna feed is located in the base of the mast. Optional Equipment: Telescoping mast. |
