|
Applications:
The VT-6 is a vertically polarized transportable antenna designed for tactical applications requiring directivity and full 2 to 30 Mhz instantaneous bandwidth. The antenna efficiently transmits and receives surface wave propagation for short range communications and also support medium range skywave communications. Features The radiating element is a vinyl coated galvanized aircraft cable that is elevated in the center using a lightweight aluminum telescoping mast. A broadband transformer is provided to match the input impedance to 50 ohms, and a resistive load is provided to terminate the antenna in it's characteristic impedance. Characteristics: The antenna is 1000 feet long and uses a 49 feet tall mast whose retracted height is 9.2 feet. The antenna is primarily used at frequencies from 2 to 12 Mhz. Optional Equipment: Transit case, sectionalized mast. |
