VT-3B
30-88 MHz Broadband Vertical Dipole

The VT-3B is a militarized, omnidirectional, transportable VHF antenna designed for point to point and ground to air line of sight tactical communications circuits. The antenna may be shelter mounted in a free standing configuration or ground mounted using guys and a 6 foot pedestal. The lightweight, quick-erect, rugged design makes the VT-3B ideal for rapid deployment requirements for VHF communications.

The VT-3B is a broadband dipole that separates into two parts for transit with a maximum storage length of 118 inches. The overall assembled height is 16 feet. The antenna is supplied with a pivot base that permits ease of assembly and erection for either shelter or ground mounted configurations. The base contains captive hardware for shelter mounting and a fold away ground anchor to prevent slipping during installations on most types of ground. Guys, anchors, grounding rod and strap are available for ground mounts. Also available for ground mounting is a 6 feet tall pedestal to elevate the antenna above ground. Typical installation times for a VT-3B are less than 15 minutes for a shelter installation using one person, and less than 10 minutes for a ground installation using two people. The military nomenclature of the antenna is AS-3977.

Optional equipment include a low pass filter, 6 ft ground mount pedestal, guys, anchors, ground rod, and ground strap.
